• Maintains the regional Historic Environment Record.

History of the group

Formed in 1974. One of four Welsh archaeological Trusts. Developed roles of education, outreach and heritage management. Role in the planning process. Charitable trust supported (in part) by grant funding from Cadw and RCAHMW.

Current and ongoing projects

• Migration of Historic Environment Record to web-based software.
• Numerous field projects each year.
• Annual archaeology day schools
• National Archaeology Week

Future aspirations

To continue to enhance the education of the public in Archaeology.
