Aims & objectives

• To collate photographs, artefacts, writings and reports about Newcastle Emlyn.
• To eventually publish a Town History
• To continue with monthly speakers (September - May)
• To continue with photo and artefacts exhibitions during school holidays

History of the group

Formed in June 1999 to produce an exhibition for the Millenium of photographs and artefacts pertaining to the town. Funded by Lottery grant.

Current and ongoing projects

• To continue to maintain and increase the 2000 photographs
• To establish a record of graveyards and gravestones, both in full detail with photographs and epitaphs and establish a searchable database of results.
• To publish the results of above.

Future aspirations

• To build and operate a mediaeval kiln (we have the evidence of one locally)
• To publish the Town History
• Possibly establish a Heritage Centre

Old Library, Market Hall, Newcastle Emlyn. Monthly at 7.30 pm, September to May. Disabled access.

Subscriptions / Charges

£3 p.a. + £1.50 per meeting
Visitors: £2 per meeting
